Acting for a Claimant (being a high net worth individual) in respect of a multi-party fraud allegation brought against four defendants (including a 5* hotel in London) concerning the alleged misappropriation of 4 luxury cars (valued at £5.5m).

Acted on behalf of the Claimants in a multi-billion class action brought against a Russian Bank concerning the development and sale of properties in Cyprus.

Leading the defence in an international Arbitration in respect of a billion-dollar claim brought against a Korean engineering company for alleged delays and defective works in respect of the construction of a vast infrastructure plant.

Acted successfully in anti-suit injunction in support of London seated arbitration and advising clients on the UK sanctions regulations.

Brought proceedings on behalf of a Ultra-High-Net-Worth-Individual against a Middle Eastern bank (following its liquidation) in respect of funds deposited for the purchase of Swiss securities.

Acted on behalf of the owner and operator of an LDPE plant in England in respect of a claim brought by way of Arbitration proceedings which exceeded £100m.

Acted on behalf of a former partner of a US Law Firm following his dismissal for allegedly misleading the Court in proceedings brought in the English Courts and in California. This allegation related to proceedings in which a worldwide freezing order had been obtained following allegations of terrorism made against the individual who was the subject of that order.

Acted for a US contractor against the employer in ICC Arbitration proceedings (in a claim for 200-million-dollars) in connection with the failure of a gas pipeline during its construction in the Caribbean.

Advised a series of Caribbean hotel operators in respect of property damage and business interruption claims caused by seasonal hurricanes, in which the majority of those claims were made against the London or the Bermudan insurance market.

Advising in respect of a Privy Council appeal brought by an individual arising from proceedings before the courts of Anguilla relating to the interpretation and effect of an arbitral award made by the New York Bankruptcy Court.

Dr Critchlow sat as Arbitrator on a three-person tribunal regarding a claim brought by a Singaporean company against a Canadian company to recover alleged monies paid pursuant to a medical waste contract in the UAE.

Advised our client in respect of a request to make representations to the Investigatory Powers Commissioner’s Office following the client’s detention at Heathrow Airport under the Counter-Terrorism and Border Security Act 2019.

Applied to challenge a Commercial Court Order which concerned an international arbitration award relating to an alleged breach of contract for the construction of a motor yacht with a purchase price of circa €38million.

Advised in respect of purported inaccuracies in a film to be made about the client’s sister (a Russian investigative journalist assassinated in October 2006, as a consequence of her reporting of government corruption).

Our Amanda Lee acted as sole arbitrator in respect of international arbitration proceedings between a French manufacturer of aircraft engines and an Italian maintenance service provider (in administration) under the ICC Arbitration Rules (seated in Geneva).

Our Amanda Lee acted as sole arbitrator in respect of ad hoc international arbitration proceedings between an English investor and two Greek companies relating to an ownership and buy-back option agreement arising from investment in a hotel.

Advised the Claimant (a multinational engineering company) in respect of professional negligence proceedings brought against its insurance brokers following the denial of coverage for multiple claims (totally approximately £60million) brought by third parties in respect of cruise ship navigational devices.

Advised the Claimant (a financial services litigation company) in respect of international arbitration proceedings brought against a Mauritian bank for an alleged breach of the letter of engagement under the LCIA Arbitration Rules.

Advised the Claimant (a US developer) in respect of international arbitration proceedings brought against the State for alleged breach of a settlement agreement relating to the future development of an educational establishment under the ICC Arbitration Rules (seated in Paris).
