Amanda specialises in international and domestic dispute resolution, with particular expertise in alternative dispute resolution (ADR) and Privy Council appellate procedure. She is a Solicitor-Advocate (Civil) and is admitted to the Bars of New York State and the U.S. Supreme Court.
Amanda advises clients on all aspects of commercial litigation and multiple forms of ADR, including construction adjudication, international and domestic arbitration, expert determination, mediation, and ombudsman services. She has served as Privy Council Representative in appeals arising from numerous Caribbean jurisdictions, including Anguilla, Bermuda, and the Turks & Caicos Islands.
She had represented international and domestic clients in high value, complex disputes arising from a wide range of sectors, including the waste management and recycling, financial services, hospitality, and automotive industries.
Amanda is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and regularly sits as an arbitrator in domestic and international arbitrations (both ad hoc and pursuant to institutional rules). She has served as sole or party-nominated arbitrator on 25+ occasions to date in arbitral proceedings seated in and/or subject to the laws of numerous jurisdictions, including England, New York, Qatar and Switzerland.
She serves on numerous boards and committees, including the Indonesia International Arbitration Center’s Advisory Board, the Law Society’s Arbitration Working Group, the American Review of International Arbitration’s Peer Review Board and MediateGuru’s Advisory Board. She also co-hosts Delos Dispute Resolution’s ‘TagTime’ webinar series.
Amanda is an award-winning advocate for diversity in ADR. Her diversity-related roles include serving as an Ambassador for Racial Equality for Arbitration Lawyers (R.E.A.L.) and as a member of the Advisory Council of ArbitralWomen and the Advisory Board of Indian Women in International Arbitration.
She is the Founder of Careers in Arbitration, a global diversity initiative supporting those seeking to develop a career in the arbitration field. In 2022 she founded ARBalance, which focuses on promoting mental health and balance in arbitration practice.
Amanda is a visiting lecturer at the University of Law, UK. She regularly speaks and publishes on dispute resolution-related topics. Her International Women's Day Keynote Address for the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators was shortlisted for Global Arbitration Review’s Award for Best Speech/Lecture.
Amanda is recognised as a Future Leader in Arbitration by Who’s Who Legal and by Lawdragon as one of 500 Leading Global Litigators. She received the CPR Institute’s Award for Outstanding Contribution to Diversity in ADR in 2022.

Amanda is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and has more than a decade of experience advising parties in respect of domestic and international arbitration proceedings, including ad hoc proceedings and those conducted under the ICC and LCIA Arbitration Rules.
She has advised and represented parties in respect of disputes arising from a broad range of sectors, including the financial services, education, hospitality, insurance, mining, and waste management sectors.
Amanda works proactively with in-house and external counsel to progress arbitral proceedings across time zones and borders. She also serves as co-counsel. She is proud that a significant number of the disputes on which she advises are resolved using mediation or negotiation, often prior to the commencement of arbitration.
She is regularly appointed as an arbitrator in both domestic and international arbitration proceedings, serving as sole and party-appointed arbitrator in disputes arising from the aviation, education, hospitality, IT and travel sectors.
Amanda has been recognised by Lexology Index: Arbitration as a Future Leader on multiple occasions and is named as one of Lawdragon’s 500 Leading Global Litigators.

She has advised parties from multiple jurisdictions, including the UK, the US, Europe, Cyprus, the Eastern Caribbean, India, Latin America, and Malta. She also advises parties and their local counsel in respect of appeals to the Judicial Committee of the Privy Counsel.
Her experience encompasses disputes arising from a wide range of contractual relationships, including consumer contract, distributorship, partnership, post-M&A and shareholder disputes, in addition to disputes relating to fraud and professional negligence.

The Judicial Committee of the Privy Council is the final court of appeal for Commonwealth territories that have retained the appeal to His Majesty in Council. It also exercises domestic jurisdiction.
Amanda has more than a decade of experience serving as agent or representative in respect of appeals and applications from overseas jurisdictions to the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council. She specialises in providing comprehensive, cost-effective and user-friendly advice on the application of the Rules and Practice Directions to appeals to the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council.
Amanda has advised local counsel and parties in respect of the preparation and presentation of appeals arising from numerous jurisdictions, with particular focus on civil appeals arising from Eastern Caribbean jurisdictions, including Anguilla, Bermuda, and the Turks & Caicos Islands.
She is accustomed to working seamlessly across borders with parties, their local attorneys and counsel teams. In addition to helping appellants and respondents navigate the appellate process, Amanda has also served as junior counsel (led by David Phillips KC of Wilberforce Chambers) in proceedings before the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council.
